Creating a 360-degree wellbeing culture

It’s the final day of #EventWell17 and UK Event Wellbeing Week 2017, the campaign I co-founded with a group of fellow event professionals and peers who are passionate, as I am, about wellbeing in events.

I had the fantastic opportunity of sitting on the ILEA-UK panel at Square Meal Venues + Events live yesterday, to discuss ways of keeping your cool and managing stress levels in our day to day events role.

EWL and what it means to me

Wow what a week it’s been, and quite possibly one of the most exciting but also exhausting periods of my career to date. The company and brand I started 18 months ago has officially expanded from London to the regions and also launched its very own industry mentoring programme, Evolve.

Us event professionals love a good awards ceremony don’t we? Last Thursday I attended the International Corporate Event or ICE Awards, recognising in-house corporate event organisers, at the British Museum.

I was delighted to be invited to The Meetings Show hosted buyer reception last week, and for the very first time as a buyer!

I received my invitation from the lovely folks at Lime Venue Portfolio, official hosts of the event held on Monday evening at Dartmouth House, headquarters and home to the English Speaking Union in Mayfair.

So whilst most of you were heading to the bars last Friday, well anyone who didn’t have an event to manage of course, I was on my way to one of my favourite venues in London, Somerset House to see what the Quintessentially Wedding Atelier had in store.

I think you’re all starting to get the idea now but the last time I visited the BNC Event Show it was as an exhibitor so it was great to be able to return last week in my event planner shoes.
